QWho can participate?
AThe Global Music Excellence Awards is open to musicians of all ages, nationalities, and levels. Participants may enter as soloists or ensembles.
QHow does the competition work?
AThe competition consists of two rounds: a free Screening Round with online video submission, and a Championship Round by invitation only, which requires a fee.
QWhat are the benefits for winners?
All official award recipients will receive:
- Official Winner Certificate
- International recognition through the Global Music Excellence Awards
- A dedicated Winner Profile Page on the official Competition website
- Winner recognition on the Competition's official social media platforms
- Opportunity to be invited to perform at the Winners Gala Concert in Chicago, USA
- Opportunity to request an official recommendation letter from the Competition, subject to eligibility and the Competition's approval
- Teacher Recognition Award for the teacher of each winning participant, where applicable
- International recognition for both students and their teachers
The Global Music Excellence Awards recognizes not only outstanding young musicians but also the teachers who have played an important role in their artistic development. Teachers of winning participants may receive an official Teacher Recognition Award from the Competition.
QIs the Screening Round free?
AYes. Entry to the Screening Round is completely free. A fee applies only if you are invited to and choose to enter the Championship Round.
QHow do I apply?
AComplete the online application form for the Screening Round, including your personal information, instrument, age group, and your repertoire with recording links.
QHow many repertoire pieces can I submit?
AThere is no fixed number of pieces. Each piece must be submitted as a single, unedited video link. You may submit multiple links for multiple pieces — as long as the total performance time stays within the maximum limit for your age group.
QWhat are the recording requirements?
AVideos must clearly show the performers and may be submitted via YouTube, Google Drive, or other accessible links. Each piece must be a single, unedited video track. All submitted videos must be recorded within the past 12 months. Excessive editing, audio enhancement, or visual effects are not permitted.
QHow is my age group determined?
AFor soloists, the division is determined by your age on the application deadline. If your birthday falls on or before the deadline, you must apply in the older age group. For ensembles, the division is determined by the average age of all members on the application deadline.
QWhat happens after I submit my application?
AYou will receive a confirmation email with your application reference number. After the screening review, if your application advances, you will receive an invitation email with a link to complete the Championship Round.
QHow do I pay the Championship Round fee?
AThe Championship Round fee is set per edition. You can pay via PayPal or choose the offline option and upload your payment proof for manual verification.
QHow are winners selected and announced?
AAfter the Championship Round, the jury reviews all applications and selects the winners. Award recipients are announced on the Winners page once the results are published for the edition.
QWhat awards are available?
AAward levels include Grand Prize, First Prize, Second Prize, Third Prize, and Honorable Mention, along with various special awards presented at the discretion of the jury.
QDo winners receive a certificate?
AYes. Winners who participate in the Winners Gala Concert will receive a physical trophy and official certificate. Winners who do not attend will receive an electronic certificate by email. The teacher of each winning participant may also receive a Teacher Recognition Award.
QCan I update my application after submitting?
AApplications cannot be edited online after submission. If you need to correct a detail, please contact us and we will assist you.
QWhat if PayPal does not work in my region?
ASelect the offline payment option during the Championship Round and upload your payment proof for manual verification.
QAre jury decisions final?
AYes. All jury decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
